Electric Gold: A Nashville SC Supporter Podcast

Electric Gold is three guys sharing their unsolicited opinions about Nashville Soccer Club. We chat weekly about the highs and lows of the team, and we often get off on tangents about the city of Nashville, music, movies, television and all sorts of pop culture. Sometimes, we even compare Nashville SC to historical events like the Siege of Vienna in 1683. We share hot takes, chat about life as a Nashville SC supporter and preview upcoming games. And in every podcast, we drink lots of beer.

In this episode - it's time for the World Cup!  After a brief recap of Nashville's game versus NYCFC, the boys turn their attention fully to the World Cup tournament descending on America this week.  The excitement is palpable, and the boys can barely contain themselves.  The boys reflect on how different the world is now versus the last time the World Cup was in the States back in 1994.  They wonder who will be the superstars to emerge during the tournament - does Messi have one more push left?  Will Mbappe finally deliver?  Is it finally time for Yamal to dominate?  Will an underdog surprise us all?  We're looking at you, Curacao! The boys stroll down memory lane to present their Mount Rushmore of US soccer players, and of course they have a lot of questions about this current US Men's National Team (as do we all).  As always, the boys bring some hot chicken takes before digging into a long list of World Cup superlatives that get increasingly ridiculous, and let's just say no one likes Neymar or Rodrigo De Paul.  Finally, the boys look into their crystal balls to make predictions for the US's first match against Paraguay - let the games begin! And they drink beer.

In this episode, the boys celebrate another incredible week for Nashville Soccer Club.  They highlight how the team notched their 100th victory, and Hany Mukhtar - in the middle of a hat trick versus LAFC - scored his 100th goal for the team.  They also show much love for maybe America's greatest goalkeeper, Brian Schwake, as well as unexpected deep bench hero, Brian Acosta.  And while the boys are certainly not fans of parking tickets, they aren't afraid - just like the boys in gold, who haven't feared any opponent in 2026.  Cue Fleming & John from 1994! While they're doling out praise, the boys might as well shout out BJ Callaghan as the best coach in the MLS.  But they aren't so sure that they love the World Cup being in the United States because it could disrupt Nashville's momentum.  No worries, though, because there is still plenty of optimism as they look ahead to the upcoming match versus NYCFC.  Let's just hope they don't start an OnlyFans. And they drink beer.

In this episode, the boys are astonished by Coach BJ Callaghan's ability to continue fielding competent soccer teams despite a hectic schedule that has the boys in gold flying all over North America every other day.  Even though they dropped the first leg of their semifinal against Tigres and only mustered a draw on the road versus Philly, Nashville SC has a lot to be proud of and they STILL sit at the top of the Eastern Conference.  Brian Schwake might just be the best goalkeeper in the MLS, and Maxwell Woledzi might just be a little TOO crazy (but we still love him).  Who we don't love - the MLS owners who are contemplating allowing the move of the Vancouver Whitecaps to Las Vegas - #savethecaps.  But the boys are excited about some free World Cup watch parties at Geodis Park this summer.  They aren't too excited about Sam Surridge missing games with an undisclosed injury, though, and it's starting to make them concerned.  But at least Miami's defense stinks and no other eastern conference team seems to have the total package that Nashville does.  In the end, the boys look ahead and make some predictions for what might be the greatest test the team has ever faced this week in Monterrey.  And they drink beer.

In this episode, the boys harken back to their roots by being weirdos.  They certainly reflect on another great win by Nashville SC, this time versus a talented Charlotte team.  And how about ol' Hany Mukhtar, who continues to be an incredible leader for the team and maybe one of the greatest MLS players ever.  Sam Surridge made an incredible return to the pitch as well, and the boys are here for it.  They also manage to compare the team's success this season to  early19th-century Spanish health logistics, which is obvious of course.  Speaking of weird, isn't time the weirdest?  And maybe it doesn't even exist?  Or maybe Andy Najar is the most fun soccer player to watch on the entire planet.  There's also plenty of evidence that the eastern conference is pretty abysmal this year.  The boys look forward to an action-packed week featuring matches versus Tigres and a struggling Philadelphia Union, and - no surprise - they predict a lot of success for the boys in gold.  And they drink beer.

In this episode, the boys run out of words to express their joy over Nashville SC's run of success this season. They gush over the historic victory for the boys in gold down in Estadio Azteca, and they also bask in the glow of a victory down in Atlanta as well. They hand out a mega-sized Aw Hell Yeah to our brave captain, Hany Mukhtar, who made all the right moves this past week. And how about a special shout-out to an emotional Shaw Mohammed after his first MLS goal? But really, all of this good fortune began when BJ Callaghan agreed to become the Nashville head coach, and we haven't looked back since. Jon thinks Nashville SC is on a collision course with LAFC, and not just for CONCACAF. Evan believes the Southern Championship Belt is already being fitted with rhinestones. Everyone knows this team is destined for greatness, and they can't wait to welcome Charlotte FC to town this weekend. For sure, the boys offer some bold predictions for that match, too. And they drink beer.

In this episode, the boys celebrate a return to Nashville SC's winning ways.  First things first, they are so excited that Eddi Tagseth finally found the goal after so many games as a boy in gold.  And look who else helped him get there - it's Nashville's unsung hero, Patrick Yazbek making all the right moves.  But then, the boys get a bit philosophical when discussing the genuine joy and goodwill that Maxwell Woledzi brings not only to the soccer pitch, but to every room he walks in.  We're lucky to have him on the Nashville side.  And after an incredible performance in Charlotte, there's praise to go around, including for another amazing Brian Schwake outing, and... what's this??  Could it be?  Ahmed Qasem might be arriving just in time!  While the week ahead in Mexico looks daunting, the boys believe that BJ Callaghan and company will be well-prepared; maybe they can listen to The Features on the plane ride down there.  And if that wasn't enough, the team will also be burning a path through Atlanta next weekend just like General Sherman, and the boys have plenty of predictions for what will transpire.  And they drink beer.

In this episode, the boys injure themselves after taking a big dose of reality and falling all the way back to Earth.  After adopting USL League One team FC Naples, they try not to dwell too much on Nashville SC's first loss of the season, but it's hard to look past the defensive struggles in this one.  But what isn't hard to look past is the continued amazing performance of goalkeeper Brian Schwake, and let's share some love for Dan Lovitz while we still can.  But really, isn't FIFA all to blame for this?  And the MLS should have totally asked us for how to make the transition to the new season schedule coming next year.  Meanwhile, the boys try to see a silver lining around this whole losing thing, like maybe it will be best for us in the long run.  Regardless, there's no time to feel sorry for ourselves, because the crystal balls are out, and the boys make some bold predictions for the upcoming matches versus Club America and Charlotte FC.  And they drink beer (courtesy of Hopsized Brewing!).

In this episode, the boys celebrate another astounding week of performances from Nashville SC.  First, they revel in finally slaying the pink dragon as Nashville eliminated Inter Miami from the only competition they truly cared about this year. And then, the boys in gold poured it on against an inferior Orlando City side.  The boys can't get over the awesome performances from new goalkeeper Brian Schwake, and Cristian Espinoza appears to be even better then advertised.  There's actually praise to go around for all the players on Nashville SC, including one Eddi Tagseth, who seems to be everywhere all at once.  Now that Miami has been shown who is daddy, it begs the question - who exactly is the best Argentinian footballer in the MLS?  Because the boys maybe think Messi has been dethroned. And when they're not talking about the Agent of Chaos, the boys take some time to break down the upcoming international break and consider some World Cup thoughts for Team USA.  And they drink beer.

In this episode, the boys welcome back the Cap'n as their special guest to reflect on an incredibly successful week for NSC, and also to celebrate the upcoming St. Patrick's Day holiday.  They've got some catching up to do, so first they examine the huge win over Minnesota, as well as a respectable draw versus Miami, and an absolute grand theft in Columbus.  There's no denying that Patrick Yazbek is leveling up, and we'd also like to formally welcome everyone to the Espinoza Era.  And while there's plenty of love going around for the Nashville offense, let's not forget that the backline and our new goalie are showing their stuff, too.  Meanwhile, we're still holding out hope for Awesome Qasem, and we totally should have beaten Miami on Wednesday night.  The boys catch up with what Liam has been up to this past year, and they also break down their favorite active stand-up comedians.  But then, it's time to look ahead and make predictions about the next leg of the Miami matchup as well as an important if underrated game versus Orlando.  And they drink beer.

In this episode, the boys awaken from a coma to reflect on an action-packed game versus Ottawa, and a not-so-action-packed matchup in Dallas.  They celebrate some excellent performances from the Millersville Messi and - could it be? - Awesome Qasem? Hopefully you're ready for your geometry lesson, because it fuels math, soccer and life.  The boys have plenty to say about the blossoming of Matthew Corcoran, and whether we might have witnessed B.J. Callaghan's first-ever mistake of his life.  Jeisson Palacios might be poised for a season to remember, and the CONCACAF is kinda stupid.  The boys also warn that we need to watch out for a rising Chicago team, and Minnesota is right around the corner.  And they drink beer.
